The Delight House exists to create a safe place for young women to learn, grow and ask the hard questions in life. Our desire is for every heart that walks through the door will know they are loved despite their flaws and imperfections. It is our goal to provide practical tools and resources as well as experiences for them to understand the Heart of the Father.
The Delight House was created with the intention of providing a space for women both locally and nationally to build community & grow in your faith through workshops, local weekly get-togethers and events.
Seven young women. Three leaders. Three Days. Worship around the fireplace, eating together around the farmhouse table, Holy-Spirit inspired creativity, sharing real life, wrestling through hard questions, talking about Jesus with an emphasis on digging in the Word to find the answers! These experiences created for young women are truly life-giving where deep friendships are formed and hearts are changed!
In 2014, after the fire swept through our community, we saw a desperate need for weekly get-togethers for women of all ages. Since then we have created an opportunity for our local high schoolers to come once a week to learn more about God, share their hearts and have a warm meal. On Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings, we gather to learn and grow in community and deepen our faith.
Internships are opportunities to serve with our nonprofit and have an extended stay at the Delight House. In 2019, these interns flew in from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, and Texas to dig into Romans and Made for This by Jennie Allen, do real-life together and specifically work on Only 7 Seconds. Only 7 Seconds is a program was birthed from Delight & Be that emphasizes awareness for mental health and suicide.
In a small rural community, there are limited opportunities. Our heart is to bring the community of women locally together for a special event... whether that be dinner around the farmhouse table, worship under the stars and sparkly white lights, or fun tween and teen events. We believe in the value of community and have seen the beauty of spending time together.
Come join us in the foothills of the beautiful North Cascades.
Come walk through the cherry orchards.
Come to the table.
There's a seat at the table, will you join us?
Project 80/25 was developed with the premise that if 80 people give $25 a month, our monthly expenses would be covered including rent, electrical, internet, property taxes, insurance, etc. We can’t thank those of you who have been so supportive and our need and prayer is for all 80 to be filled in 2020!
